Camelot in Blender

Usually when modeling a character in Blender you need a straight-on front picture and a straight-on side picture. It was difficult though taking a picture of a cat that always is looking at me, sleeping on my lap, or looking like he is plotting to kill you. But finally I got a decent video of him and screen snapped some nice pictures of a side view his head and even a bottom view of him (which was the easiest since he always wants a belly rub). I think the result turned out pretty well both of the standing and the Western look:

Blender

binoblendcatsIt has been a really long time since I have posted anything. So I will say what I have been up to. There is a free 3d modeling program called Blender. Basically what you do is you sculpt something, add bones to it, and make movies from your models. The bunny model is my very first thing that I created in Blender around 3/14/17. The cats are more recent. I hope to learn more about how to use Blender and improve on it.

Micah

Yesterday was a sad day because my cat, Micah died (pictured in the lower left of the first picture holding his brother, and the second picture). He was such a crazy cat with loads of personality. He loved his brother so much and Camelot slept with Micah in the box on his last day. Micah purred up until the last two days and he was always happy. He lived a fairly long time for having some health issues and would be about 10 years old. Micah definitely lived all his 9 lives. He is a lap cat that showed no favoritism. He would give everyone an equal opportunity to pet him, or play with him. I am going to look after his brother like he always did, and I hope to see him again someday.

He died January 26, 2017.

Crochet American Curl Cat

this is an American Curl Russian Blue mixed cat. He is completely crocheted besides the navy blue parts of his ears, his polymer clay nose, and his cabochon eyes. Believe it or not the yarn I used is completely normal and not fuzzy yarn. After playing around with the loop stitch and cutting it, I realized that it sometimes would unravel my projects so I modified it in a sort of combined way with the chain stitch. I then cut the ends and brushed the cat. “Nimbus” the cat is so cute!

This is my cat who loves to play with pretty much everything. When I crocheted this fish he loved it and I hope your cats will be just as thrilled as my cat is about this free, crocheted, cat toy. Enjoy the pattern 🙂  This pattern can not be sold nor the amigurumi be sold but you are allowed to give these as presents.
