Camelot in Blender

Usually when modeling a character in Blender you need a straight-on front picture and a straight-on side picture. It was difficult though taking a picture of a cat that always is looking at me, sleeping on my lap, or looking like he is plotting to kill you. But finally I got a decent video of him and screen snapped some nice pictures of a side view his head and even a bottom view of him (which was the easiest since he always wants a belly rub). I think the result turned out pretty well both of the standing and the Western look:

You can view a video of the Blender Camelot on my YouTube channel here:

Minka in Blender

Recently I decided to try to make my dog in Blender, Minka. If you have seen her from a couple of posts ago then you know what she looks like. I have also made her out of polymer clay so it was time to try to make her in Blender. I rigged her and did a short animation of her sitting and waving her paws up in the air. This is not my first animation in Blender because I have tried many other animations that are longer and not good. You can view the animations I did with Minka on my youtube channel here. Also if you have an account on Blendswap then you can download her.

Needle Felted Border Collie

This Saturday (7/15/17) I am going to go to Michigan. It is about a two day trip from here to there. We are visiting my Dad’s parents. I don’t remember the last time I saw them, I was probably about two years old. They have a farm with sheep and border collies and maybe some other animals. On Christmas 2016, they were the ones who gave me needle felting supplies. So, before I visit them I decided to needle felt them a border collie. This is my second needle felted item and has come a long way from my starting bunny.

Blender

binoblendcatsIt has been a really long time since I have posted anything. So I will say what I have been up to. There is a free 3d modeling program called Blender. Basically what you do is you sculpt something, add bones to it, and make movies from your models. The bunny model is my very first thing that I created in Blender around 3/14/17. The cats are more recent. I hope to learn more about how to use Blender and improve on it.

Dumpling Cats

I made these Dumpling cats for my sister on Christmas. The pattern for the pink one is free and can be found here on ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dumpling-kitty

The small minty colored cat was a modified version of the pattern. Here is the pattern for the small kitten (it has not yet been tested so let me know if it doesn’t work)
